Government thinking to equalize the medical UG and PG seats in 3 years
In an ambitious move, the Indian government plans to achieve an equal number of undergraduate and postgraduate medical seats within three years. This development holds great potential for the country, as it will result in a surge of specialist doctors. The number of MBBS seats has already witnessed a staggering 94% increase, from 51,348 in 2014 to an impressive 99,763 today. Similarly, postgraduate seats have seen a remarkable growth of 107%, rising from 31,185 in 2014 to 65,559. This initiative promises to address the shortage of specialized healthcare professionals and enhance medical services across India.
