Groundbreaking surgery at UoFl Louisville, A Woman Patient gets an artificial heart implant. The current implant device is intended to be a bridge for heart transplant.The lead Cardiothoracic Surgeons were Mark Slaughter and Siddharth Pahwa, both from UoFl. The success of this procedure definitely offers an extension of life for the patients waiting for a transplant.
